UW This Season: Finished spring training as the backup to Darth Tesinsky at fullback. However, Tesinsky decided to leave the program because of injuries, and now Ford has become a bigger factor. He and his high school teammate (Antwan Floyd at Cedar Hill) look to be the top candidates heading into fall camp. Has been hampered by injury (neck and shoulder) although he seems to be over those. An excellent athlete who has been very unselfish. Has the tools to help the Cowboys at the fullback spot. If he doesn't start, he will be an able backup. Always there, always a willing player. Good short-yardage guy who has the ability to break one. Has a great passion for the game, and for the fullback position. Has the kind of toughness for which the coaching staff looks. Expected to see plenty of playing time for the Cowboys as a senior. 2000: Played in four games for the Cowboys with two carries for four yards, while earning his second letter. Worked in Sports Information as a student intern. 1999: Played in eight games for the Cowboys primarily on special teams. Recorded an unassisted tackle. Played in a backup role at middle linebacker behind Herman White and Jared Jarnagin. Part of Wyoming's talented, young Texas defensive core that saw five guys from the Dallas area in the same class. 1998: Saw very limited action as a special teams player. 1997: Redshirted. High School: Was selected Honorable Mention All-District as both a junior and a senior. As an outside linebacker his senior season, Ford made 46 tackles, recovered two fumbles, had five pass deflections and intercepted one pass which he returned for a touchdown. He also rushed for 250 yards and five touchdowns. His team was 21-9 over three seasons. Teammates with Antwan Floyd. Coached by Gary Comer. He was recruited by Arkansas State, Baylor and SMU. Personal: Born November 1, 1978, in Akron, Ohio. The son of Gwen Morrow. Majoring in communications.
