Hall joins a unit that ranked No. 31 in the nation in pass defense in 2008, allowing opponents only 189.5 yards passing per game. Hall has two years of junior-college playing experience under his belt, but this will be his first season competing at the NCAA Division I level.

2008: Redshirted.

He helped lead Mesa to a 9-2 record and a No. 8 national ranking in the final 2007 NJCAA/JC Football.com Poll. His freshman season, he recorded 35 tackles and had one interception as Mesa posted a 7-4 record. He played for head coach Dan Dunn at Mesa Community College.

High School: Originally from Anniston, Ala., Hall played at Walter Wellborn High School. As a senior he was credited with 60 tackles, four sacks, four interceptions and returned one punt for a touchdown, earning All-Region honors. He also scored 12 touchdowns as a wide receiver, and was elected a team captain. His junior season, Hall made 45 tackles and had three sacks, while earning All-Conference honors. His high school coach was Scott Peavey. Other schools recruiting him out of junior college were Missouri, Ole Miss and TCU.
