UW This Season: Patrick Hartford begins his second season as a linebacker in 2011, after entering the Wyoming Football program as a strong safety. A contributor on special teams and as a defensive reserve last season, he will look to earn more playing time this fall.

2010: Hartford played in all 12 games during the season as a backup linebacker and special teams' performer. He made seven tackles, including four solo stops.

2009: Hartford did not play in any games during his redshirt freshman season.

2008: Redshirted.

High School: Hartford was an outstanding two-sport athlete at Rock Springs High, participating in football and wrestling. He was a three-year starter at cornerback, and was elected a team captain his senior season. He helped lead Rock Springs to the semifinals of the state playoffs his senior year. He was honored as the Marine Corps Senior Athlete of the Year at Rock Springs High in 2007. An outstanding student, he was also a member of the National Honor Society. Hartford was also recruited by Carroll College of Montana and Jamestown University of North Dakota. He played for head football coach Tony Yerkovich at Rock Springs High School.

Personal: Born on the Fourth of July in 1989, he is the youngest of three children of Audrey and Murray Hartford. Hartford is majoring in management at Wyoming.
