UW This Season: Chris Hearne joined the Cowboy Football program after an outstanding career at Cheyenne East High School in Cheyenne, Wyo. He will have time to develop his skills as a kicker, as the place-kicking duties are in good shape with juniors Deric Yaussi and Scott Parker back for the 2004 season. 2003: Hearne attended Laramie Community College in Cheyenne, where he played on the soccer team. High School: His senior season, Hearne helped lead East High to an 8-2 record in football and the 2001 State Semifinals, while earning All-State honors as a place-kicker. He also earned First Team All-Conference honors three consecutive seasons 1999-2001. As a soccer player, he was a two-time First Team All-Conference and All-Region selection. His junior and senior seasons, he also was selected Second Team All-State. Hearne achieved Honor Roll status throughout high school. He was also a member of the National Honor Society. He lettered three years in football and four in soccer at East High School. His high school football coach was John Schroff. Personal: Born Oct. 29, 1983, he is the son of Peggy and Jim Hearne. Hearne has not yet declared a college major. |
