UW This Season: Garrett King has developed into a solid offensive lineman for the Wyoming Cowboys. He came to Wyoming as a walkon, and has risen to earning a spot on the depth chart. King enters his sophomore season listed No. 2 at left tackle behind junior Ryan Otterson. 2007: King appeared in one game in his redshirt freshman season, playing in Wyoming's 23-3 season-opening win over Virginia. King concluded 2007 spring practice listed No. 2 on the Wyoming depth chart at right offensive tackle behind junior Kyle Howard. 2006: Redshirted after walking onto the team in the spring of `06. High School: King was a three-sport star at Greybull High School in Greybull, Wyo. He lettered three years in football and basketball and four years in track and field at Greybull. He earned All-State and Casper Star-Tribune Super 25 honors in football as a senior. King was an All-State and All-Conference selection both his junior and senior seasons, and was elected a team captain both seasons. He achieved honor roll every semester of high school, and was very active in student government, serving as a class vice president his freshman and sophomore years and class president as a junior. He was coached in football by John Cundall at Greybull High School. Personal: Born Aug. 5, 1987, he is the son of Patsy and John King. His father, John, lettered in basketball at UW back in 1974, and his older brother Colter played basketball at Casper College and Occidental College.
