UW This Season: Hoost Marsh enters his senior season as one of the greatest punt returners in school history. Marsh needs 262 more yards in punt returns to become the career record-holder at UW. He needs only 22 more punt returns to break that record, as well. Marsh is also Wyoming's second leading returning receiver from a year ago, and he will once again play a key role as a kickoff returner for the Pokes.

2006: Marsh became one of the Cowboys top receiving threats as a junior, catching 23 passes for 280 yards and scoring three touchdowns through the air. His best game was at Syracuse where he caught seven passes for 85 yards and one touchdown. He also added a rushing touchdown in `06, and remained Wyoming's top punt returner. Marsh averaged 8.5 yards per punt return to rank No. 6 in the MWC and No. 51 in the nation. In all-purpose yards, Marsh averaged 61.6 yards per game to tie for 17th in the Mountain West. As a kickoff returner, Marsh averaged 21.4 yards per return, which was the highest average on the Cowboy squad. He returned a total of 10 kickoffs for 214 yards.

2005: Marsh entered the 2005 season as somewhat of a marked man after being named the First Team All-Mountain West Conference return specialist as a redshirt freshman the year prior. Despite teams trying to kick away from him in 2005, he still managed to rank No. 3 in the MWC and No. 54 in the nation in punt returns, averaging 8.2 yards per return. Marsh was also utilized as a kickoff returner his sophomore season. He ranked No. 2 on the Cowboy squad in kickoff returns (15.1 yards per return). He didn't have any pass receptions in 2005. Among preseason honors that Marsh received before the `05 campaign were: being ranked the No. 18 best punt returner in the nation by Phil Steele's, and being named preseason First Team All-MWC by the Sporting News, Athlon, Street & Smith's and Phil Steele's.

2004: Marsh was one of the great stories on the 2004 Cowboy Football team. He began the season as the backup punt returner to Josh Barge, but when Barge went down with an abdominal strain in the Louisiana-Monroe game, Marsh took over for the remainder of the season. And what a season he had. Marsh ranked No. 1 in the Mountain West Conference and No. 20 in the NCAA in punt returns, averaging 13.5 yards per return. For his efforts, he was named First Team All-Mountain West Conference as a punt returner. Earned his first varsity letter. An outstanding high school running back at Arvada West High in Arvada, Colo., he switched to wide receiver for the Cowboys once arriving in Laramie.

2003: Redshirted.

High School: Marsh earned All-State and All-Colorado honors as a running back at Arvada West High School. The All-Colorado team is the All-State team for all classifications. He was named his team's Most Valuable Player as a senior, and was an All-Jeffco Conference selection. Marsh also excelled at track, achieving Second Team All-Conference honors, and team MVP honors in the spring of 2003. His high school football coach was Casey Coons

Personal: Born May 1, 1985, he is one of two sons of Zuly Halter and Kevin Marsh. Marsh is majoring in physical education-teaching.
