Trendt Marsom earned All-State honors as a senior defensive back at Kaimuki High School in Honolulu. Marsom was credited with 61 tackles and 4.0 sacks his senior season. He intercepted five passes -- two of which he returned for touchdowns. He also recovered two fumbles, and returned one 90 yards for a TD, while being named his team's Defensive Player of the Year. Marsom caught 33 passes for 488 yards and four touchdowns, and returned six kicks for 180 yards. At the conclusion of his senior season, he played in the Hawaii East-West All-Star Game on Dec. 12, 2008. Marsom started for the East squad, and was credited with two tackles and a fumble recovery. His junior season, Marsom was a Second Team All-State selection, while leading his team to a 9-2 record and the second round of the state playoffs. He made 54 tackles, intercepted six passes and returned two for touchdowns, had 2.0 sacks and recovered three fumbles -- one of which he returned 80 yards for a TD. As a sophomore, he was an Honorable Mention All-State selection, was credited with 46 tackles, intercepted four passes and returned three for TDS, including a 99-yard TD return. Marsom received the Outstanding Freshman Award for his team, while recording 49 tackles, 4.0 sacks and intercepting six passes, returning three for TDs. For his career, Marsom was credited with 210 tackles, recorded 12.0 sacks, intercepted 21 passes and recovered seven fumbles. He returned 10 interceptions for touchdowns and two fumbles for TDs. He played for head football coach Darren Johnson at Kaimuki High.

Personal: Born May 6, 1991, he is the son of Nancy and Robert Marsom. He has one older brother, Kyle. Marsom was also recruited by BYU, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon State and UNLV. Marsom would like to study education.
