UW This Season: Brandon Miller spent his first two years in the Wyoming Football program as a wide receiver, but made the move to running back this past spring. Miller made the most of his opportunity and impressed the coaching staff enough to end spring drills as UW's No. 1 running back. He should combine with returning starter Alvester Alexander, who missed spring practice due to injury, and a number of other talented running backs to form a potent group this fall.

2010: Miller played in seven games as a wide receiver during his redshirt freshman season, including playing in each of the last three games of the season. He didn't have any receptions, but did rush five times for 22 yards against Colorado State in the season finale, as the coaches utilized him in the spread formation on running plays.

2009: Redshirted.

High School: Miller put together some impressive statistics during his high school career at Mountain Vista. As a senior, he rushed for 1,300 yards, had 600 receiving yards and scored 25 touchdowns. He also returned a pair of kickoffs for touchdowns. As a junior, he rushed for 600 yards and four touchdowns and had 200 receiving yards. As a sophomore, he rushed for 250 yards and scored two TDs. He was an Honorable Mention All-State and All-League selection as a senior, and was named Honorable Mention All-League as a junior. He was a team captain his senior year. In addition to football, he earned letter awards in basketball as a junior and track as a senior. He was also recruited by Colorado and Colorado State.

Personal: Born on Aug. 28, 1990, in Denver, Colo., he is the son of Diane and Rick and has a younger sister, Kristin. He is majoring in communications.
