UW This Season: Dustin Pleasant battled back from injury to earn the No. 1 spot on the depth chart at the "Y" receiver position in 2004 spring drills. He is coming off a 2003 season in which he played only sparingly in the first two games due to severe hamstring pulls. He received a medical hardship by the NCAA, and was granted another year of eligibility. He will be a redshirt sophomore for the 2004 season. Pleasant made steady progress in 2004 spring drills, and was nearing full speed by the time spring practice came to an end.

2003: Pleasant was unable to recover from hamstring pulls, and his season ended after the first two games. He received a medical hardship year from the NCAA.

2002: As a true freshman, Pleasant caught 18 passes for 188 yards. His best outing was against Central Michigan when he caught five passes for 69 yards. He also had four catches for 44 yards at UNLV.

2001: Attended Air Force Prep in the fall of 2001 before transferring to Wyoming for the spring semester of 2002.

High School: Pleasant graduated from Temple High School in Temple, Texas, in the spring of 2001. He was an option quarterback at Temple High, but was an outstanding all-around athlete. His senior season at Temple High, he rushed for over 700 yards and passed for over 800 yards. He earned Honorable Mention All-District honors his senior season. Pleasant runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, and was also an outstanding track and field athlete and basketball player. He was a member of Temple High's mile relay team that placed sixth in the Texas State Championships. He also ran the 400 meters individually, with his best time in the 400 meters being 48.0 seconds. Selected as a team captain in football and track his sophomore through senior seasons, and was team captain of his basketball team his junior and senior campaigns. Pleasant earned Academic All-District accolades as a sophomore, junior and senior. He was active in student council, as well. His high school football coach was David Beal. Pleasant was also recruited out of high school by Air Force, Kentucky, TCU, Texas Tech and UTEP.

Personal: Born Nov. 1, 1982, he is the son of Margaret and Carl Pleasant. Pleasant is studying kinesiology and health promotion at Wyoming.
