UW This Season: J.J. Quinlan will provide depth at linebacker during the 2011 campaign.

2010: Quinlan joined the Cowboys in the fall of 2010 after transferring from Central Washington University. He sat out of competition to satisfy NCAA transfer rules.

2009: Quinlan attended Central Washington for one season.

High School: A standout at two positions for coach Terry Ennis at Archbishop Murphy High School, as a senior Quinlan earned All-State and All-Conference honors at defensive end with 83 tackles and was named the East/West All-State MVP. He also earned All-Conference honors at tight end, catching four touchdown passes. As a junior, he claimed All-Conference honors at both positions and was also an All-conference defensive end as a sophomore. Quinlan helped the team finish in the top four in the state three times. In the classroom, he was on the honor roll all four years and was given the WIAA Sportsmanship Award twice.

Personal: Born on July 11, 1991, J.J. is the son of Teresa and Bill Quinlan and has one sister. He is majoring in business administration.
