UW This Season: Brock Ralph has been "Mr. Reliable" during his four-year Wyoming career. In 2001, he was the only Cowboy wide receiver to start every game. In fact, the Raymond, Alberta native has started every game the past two seasons -- 22 straight. He is part of one of the top receiving trios in University of Wyoming history, along with teammates Malcom Floyd and Ryan McGuffey. He enters his senior season with 74 catches for 1,066 career yards. Ralph is only 518 yards out of the UW career Top 10, and is only 41 catches away from the Top 10 in receptions. He caught at least one pass in each game during the 2001 season, carrying a streak of 11 games with a catch into the 2002 campaign. 2001: Ralph caught 36 passes for 584 yards in 2001, third best behind McGuffey and Floyd. He averaged 16.2 yards per catch, best among the three teammates. Ralph also scored two touchdowns his junior season, and had a long catch of 66 yards which he took for one of those touchdowns against New Mexico. During his junior campaign, Ralph recorded two 100-yard games -- 164 versus New Mexico and an even 100-yard day at Air Force. His 164-yard performance against the Lobos was the best by a Cowboy receiver during the 2001 season. 2000: He started all 11 games at wideout for the Pokes in 2000. Ralph caught 30 passes for 425 yards in 2000 and scored three touchdowns. He averaged 14.2 yards per reception, which led the Cowboys. His 425 total receiving yards ranked No. 2 on the team. He enjoyed his best game of the season against Nevada, catching four passes for 88 yards and one touchdown. His long play of the year was a 55-yard TD catch against Auburn in the season opener. On two occasions, he caught a season high five passes in a single game -- versus Air Force and against UNLV. Ralph caught at least one pass in 10 of 11 games during the 2000 season. The only game he didn't catch at least one pass was the final game of the season at Colorado State. 1999: Ralph appeared in all 11 games for the Cowboys in '99. He had the opportunity to learn from a very experienced receiving crew as a redshirt freshman, with senior wide receivers Wendell Montgomery and Kofi Shuck playing along side him. In addition to catching eight passes for 57 yards, Ralph also rushed the ball 11 times for 83 net yards and two touchdowns. His best receiving game came against Colorado State, when he caught two passes for 29 yards. His best day rushing was versus Utah when he carried the ball three times for 48 yards, with two of his rushing attempts going for touchdowns of 34 and seven yards in a 43-29 Wyoming road win. Earned his first varsity letter 1998: Redshirted. High School: An outstanding all-around athlete, he was the provincial champion in the 100 meters for the Province of Alberta as a high school senior. He also won the triple jump, and placed second in the 200 meters. In football, his Raymond High School team lost only one game his junior and senior seasons, posting a 25-1 record and capturing the province title two consecutive seasons. While Canada doesn't select All-Province teams, similar to the way All-State teams are named in the U.S., Ralph was named his league's MVP as a wide receiver and safety. He also was his team's MVP on a 24-1 basketball squad. Perhaps his best sport is baseball, where he was the starting center fielder on the Provincial Championship team. An outstanding student, he was on the honor roll five times. His high school football coach was Mark Beazer, while his high school basketball coach was his father, Jim. He was also recruited by Brigham Young, Duke and Washington State. Personal: Born July 16, 1980, he is one of six children of Shelly and Jim Ralph. His younger brother, Brett, played wide receiver for UW in 2000, but is currently on an LDS church mission. His older brother, Dustin, was also a Cowboy wide receiver in 1999 and 2000. Brock is majoring in secondary education.
