UW This Season: Mandel Robinson Jr. is an outstanding young man who followed in his father's footsteps when he decided to attend the University of Wyoming and play football. His father, Mandel Robinson Sr., lettered for Wyoming in 1979 and `80, leading the Cowboys in rushing his senior season. The younger Robinson will play H-Back for the Pokes this season. He came all the way from Brewerton, N.Y., to become a Cowboy.

2003: Redshirted.

High School: Robinson excelled in both football and basketball at Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square, N.Y. He was recognized for his leadership skills by being elected a team captain in both football and basketball. Robinson was also an honor student at Paul V. Moore. Active in his community, for six years he assisted his grandfather in delivering "Meals on Wheels" to elderly and others too ill to leave their homes. His high school football coach was Bert Conklin.

Personal: Born April 15, 1985, he is one of three children of Marcia and Mandel Robinson. He has not yet declared a college major.
