High School: Dominic Rufran was selected to The Denver Post All-Colorado First Team for all classifications his senior year at Palmer High School in Colorado Springs. He also earned First Team All-State for Class 5A from The Post. Class 5A is the largest classification in Colorado. Rufran accounted for 3,019 total yards his senior season, including 1,558 rushing yards and 831 receiving yards on 40 receptions. He also threw three TD passes. Rufran scored 19 touchdowns rushing, seven receiving and returned one kickoff for a touchdown. As a team captain, he led Palmer High to a 7-4 record and the second round of the 5A state playoffs. His junior year, he caught 59 passes for 1,057 and had 13 receiving TDs. He earned Honorable Mention All-State honors in football as a junior. An outstanding basketball player, as well, he helped lead his team to an 18-5 record and the second round of the state playoffs, while earning Honorable Mention All-Conference honors. Rufran earned three letters in football, basketball and track and field at Palmer High. An outstanding student, Rufran achieved Academic All-State honors three years in high school and was Honorable Mention Academic All-State the other year. He played for head football coach Rod Baker.

Personal: The son of Eowyn Suchan and Michael Rufran, he has two older siblings, Maria and Dominique, and two younger siblings, Amadeo and Adonis. Rufran was also recruited by Air Force, Colorado, Colorado State, Idaho and UCLA.
