UW This Season: Brandon Stewart made a great comeback in the second half of his redshirt freshman season of 2008 after suffering a shoulder injury in practice prior to the start of the season. He enters the 2009 season as one of the potential big weapons in Wyoming's new spread offense, as he is effective both as a receiver and a runner coming out of the slot.

2008: Stewart injured his left shoulder in practice two weeks prior to the start of the 2008 season and missed the first five games of the year. But he came back strong in the second half of the `08 campaign. Stewart led the Cowboys in average yards per reception (19.3) and average receiving yards per game (35.9). He ranked No. 2 on the squad in total receiving yards (251) and was fifth in receptions (13). He also rushed the ball 16 times for 78 yards and returned seven punts for a 4.9 yard average. He ranked No. 3 on the team in all-purpose yardage, averaging 51.9 yards per game. Stewart started five of the final seven games of the season. He posted the first 100-yard receiving game of his career against San Diego State, with 132 yards receiving on three receptions. One of those catches went for 69 yards and a touchdown, which was the longest play from scrimmage for the Cowboys all season. He also accounted for 150 all-purpose yards against the Aztecs in a 35-10 Wyoming victory. Stewart had four catches for 21 yards against Utah and caught three passes for 38 yards versus Colorado State. He made as big an impact in 2008 spring practice as anyone on the Wyoming Football roster. Coming off a redshirt year in 2007, he earned both a starting spot as a slot receiver on offense and was named the No. 1 punt returner for the Cowboys.

2007: Redshirted.
