UW This Season: Anthony Wilson transferred to Wyoming in January 2007 from Diablo Valley Community College in Pleasant Hill, Calif. He made a significant contribution on the defensive line in his first season in Laramie. Wilson will team with starter John Fletcher and fellow senior Danny Dutmer to make the defensive tackle position one of the deepest on the team for the Cowboys.

2007: Wilson played in all 12 games as a junior. He was credited with 11 total tackles, including 3.0 sacks and 4.5 tackles for losses. He also forced one fumble against Air Force.

Junior College: Wilson earned Golden Gate All-Conference honors in 2006 while recording 27 total tackles, 7.5 sacks for a minus 63 yards and 15 tackles for losses of 118 yards. His 7.5 sacks ranked No. 8 among all California junior-college players. Wilson added one fumble recovery, one pass breakup and a blocked extra point. His Diablo Valley team ranked second among California junior-college teams in quarterback sacks with 39 on the season. The 2006 season marked his first season playing on the outside at defensive end, after playing inside at defensive tackle as a junior-college freshman. Wilson was part of a Diablo Valley team that posted an 8-3 record and captured the Golden Gate Conference Championship with a perfect 5-0 mark. Diablo Valley defeated Siskiyous Community College 33-23 in the East County Bowl to conclude their season. While a starter at defensive tackle in 2005, he helped lead Diablo to a 7-4 record and a 37-34 victory over Orange Coast Community College in the East County Bowl. His junior-college coach was Ralph Depew.

High School: Wilson played his high school football at John Swett High School in Crockett, Calif. He achieved First Team All-Bay Shore Athletic Conference honors as a defensive lineman both his junior and senior years, and also was selected a Second Team All-Conference tight end as a senior. His high school football coach was John Angel. A multi-sport athlete in high school, Wilson also played basketball and wrestled.

Personal: Born Aug. 6, 1987, he is the son of Virginia Sanchez, he was also recruited by UNLV. Wilson has not declared a college major.
