UW Fans Are Encouraged to Plan Ahead for Texas-Wyoming Football Game in 2009 in What is Already An Anticipated Sellout

LARAMIE, Wyo. - With the 2008 Wyoming Football season entering its second week, the University of Wyoming Athletics Department wants fans to be aware that good season tickets are still available for the remainder of this season. The season-ticket price for the a 2008 season ticket is $168. The other reason fans are encouraged to purchase season tickets this season is to assure themselves the opportunity to purchase tickets for the most anticipated game in Wyoming school history versus the University of Texas Longhorns one year from now. The Texas Longhorns, who won the National Championship at the conclusion of the 2005 season, will travel to Laramie, Wyo., for a Sept. 12, 2009, meeting with the Wyoming Cowboys in War Memorial Stadium. It is anticipated that the Texas-Wyoming game will be a preseason sellout and due to that a priority system has been established for sale of tickets to that game. Tickets to the 2009 Texas vs. Wyoming game will be made available for purchase by Wyoming fans on the following priority basis: Fans who purchase 2008 season tickets will also benefit from not having to meet future Cowboy Joe priority seating per seat donation requirements. The new requirements go into effect next year (2009), but all 2008 season-ticket holders will be grandfathered in under the previous priority seating requirements.
