2005-06 (Senior): In his fifth year with the program Baily has become a leader for the Cowboys and it has shown in his performance on the course. In three of five fall events for UW, Eric posted top 25 finishes. He shot a 70 at the AFA Falcon Invite and had his best finish of the fall there, 12th. Baily's stroke average continues to fall, 73.80 over 15 rounds. 2004-05 (Junior): Baily showed steady improvement during his junior season, with a tournament runner-up performance and four top ten finishes. He continued to lower his stroke average, 74.91 over 32 rounds, and played in all 11 events. The highlight of his season came at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, where Eric shot a career low round of 67 and finished in second place overall. His other top ten finishes came at the Nebraska Fairway Club Invitational (6th), the Louisville Intercollegiate (10th) and the UALR Collegiate Classic (10th). 2003-04 (Sophomore): Baily tied for the team lead in top 25 finishes during the season with three, and played in nine of 11 events. His best finish came at the BYU Cougar Classic when he placed 10th of 77 golfers. His other top 25 showings came at the Nebraska Fairway Club Invitational, and in the fall's final tournament at Fresno State. Baily's low round of the season came at the Fresno State tournament when he notched a second round 68. His stroke average for the season was 75.81. 2002-03 (Redshirt Freshman): Baily appeared in eight of 11 tournaments in his first season competing for UW. He posted the fourth best stroke average on the team (76.4). 2001-02 (Freshman): Baily redshirted. High School: A two-time Nebraska All-State selection in golf, Baily claimed state runner-up honors his junior season at Crofton HS. He was a four-sport letterman at and garnered Honorable Mention All-State recognition in football and basketball both his junior and senior seasons. He led his high school football team to the state quarterfinals as a junior and the state semifinals his senior season. In basketball, Crofton won its conference title Baily's senior season. In baseball, Baily helped lead the Crofton baseball team to the 1998 State Championship. The 1999 season saw Baily win the "Big Stick" award at the state baseball tournament as his Crofton team finished as state runner-up. He was also the Student Body President his senior year of high school. Baily was also recruited by North Carolina and Iowa State. Personal: Born Oct. 11, 1982, to Laurie and Gregg Baily.
