2010-11 (Sophomore): Boutelle built off his success as a redshirt freshman as he entered his fourth semester competing for the Cowboys. He had an up and down spring season for the Cowboys with his best finish coming at the Mountain West Championship where he tied for 17th with a score of 216 (+3). At the MW Championship he shot rounds of 71 (E), 71 (E) and 74 (+3). Boutelle shot the lowest round of his Cowboy career during the first round of the Barona Collegiate Cup, firing a five-under 67. He recorded six rounds of par or better during the season, including his career best round of 67 (-5). He played in all 12 tournaments for the Cowboys and carried the second best stroke average of 75.18 on the team. During the fall of 2010, Boutelle's best finish was a tie for 29th at the Air Force Falcon Invite with a three day total of 222 (+6). His best round of the fall season came at the Nevada Wolf Pack Classic where he shot an even par 72 during the first round. Boutelle had a stroke average of 75.33 during the fall, which was good enough for second best on the team.

2009-10 (Redshirt Freshman): Boutelle excelled during his redshirt freshman season, making a successful college golf debut in the fall of 2009 and carrying that success into the spring of 2010. During his redshirt freshman campaign Boutelle played in all 11 tournaments for the Cowboys and carried the third best stroke average on the team, a 74.09. He placed in the top 25 of four events and recorded his best finish at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, where he tied for 10th in the 92-man field. In the Intercollegiate, he shot rounds of 75 (+3), 74 (+2) and a 69 (-3). Boutelle also played very well in three of the six spring events, including the MW Championship where he placed in a tie for 23rd. At the MW Championship he shot a three round total of 220 (+7), including a 68 (-3). He also recorded the fourth best finish among freshmen at the MW Championships. Boutelle played the second most rounds of any freshman in the MW at 33. During the '09-'10 season he shot a total of six rounds under par.

2008-09 (Freshman): Boutelle used his true freshman season as a redshirt year to improve his game. During the 2009 summer he qualified for the U.S. Amateur by winning a qualifier tournament at the Three Crowns Golf Club in Casper, Wyo.

High School: Boutelle was the 2007 Wyoming 3A State Champion during his senior year of high school. He was an All-State selection in both 2006 and 2007 and an All-Conference selection in 2005, '06 and '07. He was selected as a team captain his senior year. As a junior he took third place in the Wyoming State 4A tournament. Boutelle was selected as a member of the Wyoming Junior America's Cup Team both in 2006 and 2007. Along with four high school golf letters, he also lettered three years in hockey. He was on the Cody High School Honor Roll all four years of high school.

Personal: Clinton is the son of Susan and Rodney Boutelle and has one older sister, Courtney. Boutelle was also recruited by Colorado and Arizona. He is majoring in communications at UW.
