High School: Paulson graduated high school from Kelly Walsh in Casper, Wyo. in 2003. While there he was the Wyoming State 4A High School golf medalist in 2002 and a two-time All-State and All-Conference selection. Ryne was a member of state championship teams in 2001 and 2002. He won seven high school events and took third place at the state tournament in 2001. Paulson was a four-year letterwinner in golf and also lettered his senior year in basketball.
