2005-06 (Senior): One of several Cowboy players who can be the team's top finisher at any event, Silva will look to ease the pressure on himself and have a solid final semester for the Pokes. Dan played in all five events for UW this past fall, with a low round of 72 at the Tucket Invitational. Last summer he placed third overall at the Colorado Golf Association State Public Links Championship.

2004-05 (Redshirt Junior): Silva benefited from his redshirt season and carried a team-best stroke average of 74.19, cutting over three strokes off his score from his previous season. The top finisher for the Cowboys at the 2005 Mountain West Conference Tournament (18th), he had five individual top 25 finishes. This bright student-athlete played in all 11 events for Wyoming and was perhaps the most consistent Cowboy. Dan's best round was a career-low 67 at the BYU Cougar Classic, where he placed 11th. A near 4.0 student in economics, he was one of only seven MWC men's golfers nationally to be named a Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America, and was named to ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-District VII Team for 2005 as selected by CoSIDA. An Academic All-MWC and Scholar Athlete selection, Silva has also been named to the Dean's List four out of five semesters, and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS).

2003-04 (Junior): Silva used his redshirt season.

2002-03 (Sophomore): Silva competed in five of 11 tournaments for the Wyoming Cowboys in his first season as a member of the UW squad. He played his best tournament of the year at the Rocky Mountain Invitational in the fall. Silva placed 26th out of 78 golfers at the Rocky Mountain, where he shot a six-over par total of 222 for 54 holes. In the second round of the Rocky, he fired a career low 69 to go along with an opening round 79 and a closing round of 74. Silva was named to the Academic All-Mountain West Conference team.

2001-02 (Freshman): Silva attended Truman University in Kirksville, Mo. In his one year at Truman, Silva was on the President's Academic list.

High School: A native of Denver, he played high school golf at Arapahoe High School in Littleton, Colo. As a senior, Silva earned Second Team All-Conference honors. He was a two-year letterwinner at Arapahoe.

Personal: Born July 20, 1983, he is the son of Donna and Rick Silva. Dan has a younger brother, Eric. He is majoring in economics.
