His second round 67 (-5) is his best career round as well as a tie for the fifth best round in Wyoming history. Zaremba closed out the fall with a solid two days at the SDSU Sycuan Invite, where he shot rounds of 71, 72 and 73 for an even par tournament score of 216. He shot par or better in seven of his 15 rounds during the fall.

2007-08 (Freshman): Zaremba was highly heralded coming into the Wyoming program as a freshman after he qualified in the summer of 2007 for the most prestigious amateur tournament in the country, the U.S. Amateur Championship. As a freshman at UW, Zaremba played in all 13 events for UW and finished under par in two different tournaments. Zaremba had a season best sixth place finish at the Purple & Red Invite, shooting 141 (-3) over 36 holes, but recorded his lowest score at the Turtle Bay Invite where he finished at 212 (-4). At that event, he shot a final round of 68 (-4), his lowest of the season, and helped the Cowboys record the third-best team round in school history, 278 (-10), and the third-best team event total at UW, 859 (-5). On the season, Zaremba shot par or below seven different times. He also did a tremendous job in the classroom as a freshman and was an Academic All-Mountain West Conference selection.

High School: Zaremba won the 2006 Colorado 4A state championship as a senior at Pueblo West High School. He shot 73, 65 at the state tournament and took medalist honors by three strokes. On the road to his state title, Zach also won Regional and Conference championships, as well as All-State recognition. He led his team to Regional and Conference championships, and a second place finish at the state tournament. In 2005, Zaremba placed ninth individually at state. He was an excellent student who ranked in the top 20 of his class and was named three times to the Academic All-State First Team. In the summer of 2006 he placed first with a round of 70 at a CGA Pub Links event. His state championship earned Zaremba attention from several other schools, but he chose to attend Wyoming over Colorado State and Liberty University.

Personal: Zach is the only child of Mike and Susan Zaremba. He was born on May 31, 1988 in Pueblo. His father Mike played basketball and golf at CSU-Pueblo. Zach is undeclared on a major within the College of Business at UW.
