The University of Wyoming Cowboy golf team scored 303 (+15) and 295 (+7) on Monday at the Purple and Red Invitational in Layton, Utah. UW's total of 598 (+22) places them in a tie for 14th of 17 teams with one round remaining to be played on Tuesday morning.

"We had a bad morning round, played better in the afternoon, but still had to count a 79," said Cowboy head coach Joe Jensen. "Everyone has roles on this team and we need players to start filling those roles."

Wyoming junior Zac Fisher and freshman Casey Ruff are each tied for 29th in the 94-player field, both recording scores of 75 (+3) and 72 (E). UW senior Jeff Franks shot 76 (+4) and 72 and is tied for 35th.

After two rounds San Fransisco (568, -8) leads the team standings and Hartford's Maki Kobayashi (138, -6) is atop the individual leader board.
