Reno, Nev. - The University of Wyoming men's golf team finished the second round of the Ernst F. Lied Wolfpack Classic in Reno, Nev. in 13th place with a two-round team score of 587. Wichita State leads the 18 team field with a two-round total of 564.

Cowboy sophomore Eric Baily is currently one-over par with a score of 145, and is in a seven-way tie for 32nd place. The Crofton, Neb. native shot a first round even par score of 72 and a second round one-over par performance of 73.

"We played poorly in the first round," said UW head golf coach Joe Jensen. "However, we came back in the afternoon and finished one-over par as a team, and improved nine shots. Anytime you shoot close to par as a team you know your are competing."

"I am pleased to see our improvement in the afternoon, but we need to stay consistent," added Jensen. "We are playing in a very good tournament, and we will be playing at another good one this weekend in Fresno. So in order for us to finish this tournament strong we have to be more consistent."

Wichita State's Judd Easterling is the current individual leader of the tournament with a nine-under par performance of 135. He leads Chris Stroud of Lamar by one stroke.

The 27th Annual Ernest F. Lied Wolfpack Classic is played on the Wolf Run Golf Course in Reno, Nev. It plays to a 72 par and measures at 7,100 yards. The third and final round of the tournament will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 9:00 a.m.
