Wyoming was led by senior Jake Hunter and freshman Mike Mezei, who both tied for sixth place, out of 68 competitors, with two-round totals of 145. Mezei shot the low round of the day for the Cowboys with a two-under par round of 70 on Tuesday. His round of 70 also tied for the low individual round for the two-day event. Hunter fired a final round of 72 -- even par. Brent Parrish of North Carolina-Wilmington won the individual title with a 36-hole score of 142. Parrish won a playoff with John Hulwick of Denver for the individual championship. All five members of the Cowboy squad shot 74 or lower in Tuesday's final round. Senior David Hearn fired a 74 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 35th at 151, and sophomore Kurt Kowaluk also shot a 74 and tied for 42nd at 152. "We played really well on Tuesday" said UW head golf coach Roger Prenzlow. "It was nice to see the guys play a solid final round. Mike (Mezei) shot a 70, Mike Urbatchka a 71 and Jake Hunter a 72. David Hearn and Kurt Kowaluk also played nice rounds today (both shot 74s). Overall, we were a very balanced team today." Next up for the Cowboy golf team is a dual meet with the University
