03/07/2011 2011 West Regional Wrestling TournamentPhotos of the Wyoming Cowboy wrestlers at the 2011 West Regional tournament. 3/6/11 2010-11: For the second-straight season, Belleville spent the first half of the 2010-11 campaign at 149 pounds, but was UW's starter at 157 during the second half. Belleville went 23-17 overall, including 8-9 in duals, as his season ended again at the West Regional tournament. He collected eight pins and seven major decisions with a 10-7 record against the WWC. Belleville began 2010-11 with a fourth-place showing at the Cowboy Open and fifth at the Kaufman-Brand Open, before going 4-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions to miss placing. He made the move to 157 to start the New Year and went 3-2 at the Virginia Duals. He struggled down the stretch with a 5-6 dual mark, before ending his season at the West Regional by going 1-2. 2009-10: After taking his redshirt off part way through the season, Belleville was on the cusp at the end of the year of making it to the NCAA Tournament. His freshman season ended at the NCAA West Regional, where he placed third in the 157-pound weight class by beating 2010 All-American Justin Gaethje from Northern Colorado to earn third-team All-WWC honors. Belleville began the season at 149 pounds and wrestled open events at that weight, as well as 157, before jumping into the Cowboy starting lineup on Jan. 15. In that dual, he narrowly lost to Gaethje (6-4), but in his next match, two days later against Nebraska, Belleville got a huge pin for his team against Tyler Koehn. Two weeks later, he recorded a fall against Northern Iowa's Tyson Reiner, propelling the `Pokes to another huge dual victory. His overall season record was 31-8, with nine pins. Belleville was 6-4 in the Western Wrestling Conference and placed first at the Northwest Wyoming tournament, as well as the Utah Valley Open. He was second at the Cowboy Open (amateur). High School: Jimmy attended Black Hills High School in Tumwater, Wash., where he is a four-time state champion. He left high school with a record of 166-8, 42-2 as a senior. As a freshman his state title was at 103 pounds, 125 as a sophomore, 145 as a junior and his senior year he won at 160 pounds. Belleville was the Freestyle Junior National runner-up in 2008.
