2011-12: Ford appeared in nine of UW's 13 duals at 141 and 149 pounds, posting a 4-5 mark in those competitions. He was 9-13 for the year, and posted the team's fourth-fastest pin (39 seconds) in the dual versus South Dakota State. He went 3-3 versus Western Wrestling Conference opponents, ending the season with two losses in the West Regional.

2010-11: Ford used his redshirt season while posting a 14-8 record at 141 pounds in open tournaments, including 7-3 against the WWC. He earned two pins and one major decision.

Ford finished third at the Northwest Open with a 6-1 mark, before going 1-2 at the Cowboy Open, 0-2 at the Kaufman-Brand Open and 2-2 at the UNK Loper Open. He went 5-1 at the Utah Valley Open to finish third in his final tournament of the season.

2008-10: Ford wrestled for two years for the Northwest College (Wyo.) Trappers under head coach Jim Zeigler. During those seasons, Ford was a two-time NJCAA All-American at 141 pounds, placing eighth in 2009 and fifth in 2010. He wrestled in two duals against the Cowboys, as well as the 2008 and 2009 Cowboy Opens in Laramie. Ford placed fourth at the Cowboy Open as a freshman in the Amateur Division and second as a sophomore.

High School: Ford hails from Payson, Utah, where he was a Utah high school state champion in 2008 at Payson High School.

Personal: Ford's parents are Shayne and Robbie Ford and he has two siblings, brother Cole and sister Ciara. Cole is a freshman on the Cowboy roster. His field of study at UW is sociology. He was born July 27, 1990, in Payson, Utah.
