2006-07... Gifford saw time at the 133 pound weight class and went 4-11... 2005-06... Gifford went 7-10 for the Pokes during his redshirt season and was tied for fifth place on the team with one major decision... High School... Gifford was a Nebraska State Champion and was named First Team All-State for the fourth consecutive year his senior season. He placed second at the State Tournament in both his sophomore and junior years and sixth as a freshman. Gifford was Second Team All-Region his first three years and First Team All-Region his senior year. He was also named team captain. Excelling in football as well, Gifford was All-Region and All-Conference his senior year, and as team captain led his team to the State Playoffs for the third year in a row. He was academic All-State in both football and wrestling his junior and senior seasons. Personal... One of two sons of Kari and Bill Gifford, he was born on August 1, 1987 in Scottsbluff, Neb.
