Dallas Hintz Class: RS Freshman Hometown: Moses Lake, Wash. High School: Ephrata Event: 165/174 pounds

2008-09: Dallas Hintz is coming off of a positive redshirt season and will push to get on the mat at either 165 or 174 pounds. He is part of a strong Cowboy contingent at those two weights and gives the coaches options that they will enjoy. Dallas is one of six Washington state wrestlers on the Cowboy roster.

2007-08: Hintz made the most of his redshirt year, recording a 16-9 record in open matches, including three pins and two major decisions at 157 pounds. He won the Cowboy Open Amateur Division and placed second at the Utah Valley Open. Dallas was fourth at the FILA Greco-Roman National Championships.

High School: Hintz was a three-time state runner-up and four-time Washington state placer at Ephrata High School. He was a three-time regional champion and four-time district champion. Hintz was selected team captain twice and lettered all four years. He was named to the honor roll all four years of high school.

Personal: Born May 11, 1989 in Moses Lake, Wash. He is the son of Kirsten and Gilbert Hintz. He has two younger siblings, Kendahl and Justine. Hintz is majoring in agricultural business at UW.
