2008-09: As the only true heavyweight on the Cowboy roster, Scharbrough will be counted on to contribute to the team in his first collegiate season. He is talented and physically gifted, but will need to mature quickly at this higher level of competition. Scharbrough is a big part of Wyoming's highly touted 10-man freshman class.

High School: Scharbrough was a three-time Idaho state champion wrestler, ranked #4 in the nation at 215 pounds on intermatwrestle.com and was the runner-up in the Cadet Freestyle National Championships. He went undefeated his senior season and pinned all four of his opponents in the state tournament for the second straight year. He tallied over 170 wins in high school and was also a three-time All-state linebacker at Weiser High. Scharbrough was a National Honor Society member and was ranked 35th out of 123 in his class with a 3.7 GPA.

Personal: Scharbrough has a birthday of March 25, 1990. He is the son of Louis and Lesli Scharbrough. Jacob is studying kinesiology and health promotion at UW.
