LARAMIE, Wyo. -

University of Wyoming sophomore Levi Prevost, the lone Cowboy representative at the 2002 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Albany, N.Y., was eliminated from the 157 pound weight division Thursday after dropping his first two matches in the double-elimination tournament.

Prevost, who qualified as a wild-card selection from the West Regional, squared off against Purdue's Brad Harper in his opening match, losing a close decision 3-2. Prevost was sent to the consolation bracket where he fell to Kent State's Mike Tolar 16-9. Prevost ended the season with an overall record of 17-9.

This was the second consecutive season Prevost qualified for the NCAA Championships. As a freshman last year Prevost also went 0-2.
