Junior Eric Coxbill led the way for the Cowboys with his first career dual win at Wyoming as UW fell to Boise State 38-3 Saturday night in Boise.

"Boise is traditionally a good team and this year is no exception," UW head coach Steven Suder said. "They have one of their most solid teams in several years and plenty of guys in their practice room pushing their starters."

BSU began the dual by winning the first four matches before Coxbill put the Pokes on the board.

Coxbill, a junior from Wright, Wyoming, defeated BSU's Tyler Roshau 6-2 to give Wyoming their only team points of the night. He scored two takedowns in the first period and added an escape in the second and earned riding time in the third for the victory.

"Coxbill wrestled a solid match tonight and he is continuing to make adjustments," Suder said. "He is one of our guys that is getting better with each match and making progress."

Wyoming struggled the rest of the night losing the next five matches falling to 0-2 on the dual season.

"We have a bunch of youngsters that need to do a lot of growing up and we are not wrestling with a great deal of confidence," Suder continued." "We are not selling the farm on these guys and we are going to continue to work hard and strive to get better."

The Cowboys will be back in action Tuesday, December 18, as they head to Reno, Nevada to compete in the Brute Reno Tournament of Champions. Last season, the Pokes finished 15 out of 29 teams with a team score of 33.5. Current UW sophomore Cory VomBaur finished the tournament last year with a 2-2 record. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. and last all day.
