Pistol Pete
When Pistol Pete isn't busy cheering on the Cowboys and Cowgirls, he loves to spend time with community members at campus activities, community events and even personal events such as weddings, school events, birthday parties and charity events. He's not a shy cowboy and loves to pose for photographs so if you see him out, make sure to ask for a picture and an autograph! You can reach Pistol Pete by emailing him at PistolPete@uwyo.edu. If you are a UW student or you will be in the fall of 2012, and you are interested in joining Pistol Pete's mascot team, contact Coach Powell for all of the tryout information. Tryouts will be held in April 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year. Pistol Pete is the University of Wyoming's biggest fan! You can spot him at many UW athletic events working alongside the Wyoming Spirit Squads, encouraging the crowd and getting fans involved in the game. Some places you might spot him are all home football games, home men's basketball games, home women's basketball games, home volleyball games, home wrestling matches, home soccer games, various away games and many other contests including swimming, track and field, tennis and golf!
