WHY CHOOSE UW SPIRIT

ACADEMIC SUPPORT
UW Spirit Squad members gain the advantages of DI athletics with the community atmosphere and student/faculty ration of a small school (14:1). Through the Athletics Department Office of Academic Support, members of the Spirit Program are assigned an Athletic Academic Advisor that assists in each individual's progress towards a degree. The Advisor provides support to all cheerleaders and mascots regarding academic issues, priority registration and tutors/mentors, as well as serves as a link between the student, coaches and faculty. In addition to academic support for all team members, all incoming freshmen are required to attend weekly study hours in the Office of Academic Support.
