UW This Season:The Cowgirls' starting point guard from a year ago...really made an impact on the team and in the league last season...brings leadership and experience to the court.

Redshirt Junior (2001-02): Started in the first game of her career as a Cowgirl against Sacramento State (11/18/01)...played in all 28 Cowgirl games, including starts in 26 of those games...averaged 4.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 22.5 minutes per contest...was second on the team in assists (2.6 aspg), which ranked 15th in the conference, and third in steals (0.9 spg)...shot 75% (42-56) from the charity stripe and 36% (44-124) from the field...tied a career high with 13 points, while playing 38 minutes against CSU (2/23/02)...also scored a career high 13 points, along with recording a career high seven rebounds and assists in the victory against Florida Atlantic (11/25/01)...had a career high five steals against Idaho State (1/5/02)...scored in double-figures three times during the season...an Academic All-MWC selection for the first time in her career.

Junior (2000-01): Under NCAA transfer rules, she sat out the 2000-01 season after transferring from Oregon State.

Oregon State: She averaged 4.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists as a sophomore at Oregon State University...a two-year starter for the Beavers, starting in all 57 games as both a freshman and sophomore...along with her sister, the only two players to start in every game in 1998-99...led the Beavers in minutes played, averaging 25.5 per game.

High School: An honorable mention All-State selection as a senior at Crater High School, she helped her team to the runner spot in the 4A state championship game...was coached by David Heard.

Personal: The daughter of Bart and Ilene Wiersma, her twin sister Chassie is also a member of the Cowgirl squad...married Keith Young on June 21, 2002 in Central Point, Ore...born August 20, 1979 in Lynnwood, Wash...chose Wyoming over several schools including Valparaiso, Utah, New Mexico and Gonzaga...majoring in nursing.
