2005-06 (Junior): Hernandez is in her senior year of nursing school and is treating this season as her final year of competition, even though she has a year of eligibility remaining. She is a vocal leader for the Cowgirls with low round potential, who has lowered her stroke average over the last two seasons as she's worked her way into the lineup. Played in five of six fall events for UW.

2004-05 (Sophomore): Showed dramatic improvement in her second year of competition for Wyoming. She played in ten of 12 events and had a career low round of 74 at the Denver Pioneer Intercollegiate. A near 4.0 student she was one of only 205 women's golfers nationally to be named an NGCA All-American Scholar, and additionally was awarded Academic All-MWC.

2003-04 (Redshirt Freshman): Hernandez competed in three of ten tournaments for the Cowgirls as a redshirt freshman. Her lowest round of the year was an 87 in the opening round of the CU Heather Farr Memorial tournament. An MWC Scholar-Athlete.

2002-03 (Freshman): Redshirted.

High School: Hernandez captured the Wyoming 3A State individual golf championship in the fall of 2001 by an eight-stroke advantage, and led her Powell High School team to the 3A State team title. She also won the individual state championship in 1999. Hernandez was valedictorian of her high school graduating class at Powell HS. She is a member of the National Honor Society, and was named as a National Hispanic Scholar. Hernandez was a member of the Powell HS drill team for two years. Her high school golf coach was Troy Hildebrand.

Personal: Born April 11, 1984, to Kathee and Raymond Hernandez. She is studying nursing, and plans to someday be an obstetrician.
