2008-09 (Redshirt Sophomore): During the fall Johnna has competed in three of the five events and shot her personal best round of 78(+6), twice at the CU/Heather Farr Memorial in Broomfield, Colo. That was also the same tournament that the Cowgirls set the lowest team tournament score 891 (+27). Look for Jeffries to continue to add depth to the Cowgirl squad as well as perform for the UW Track and Field team.

2007-08 (Redshirt Freshman): A talented multi-sport athlete, Jeffries finally got her start at the NAU/Red Rocks Invitational where she missed the first day due to the Mountain West Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. She was competing in the high jump event and once her event was finished she jumped on a plane to compete for the Cowgirl Golf team. She has ample natural physical ability, as evident by her participation on the UW Track & Field team, and has been working to raise her mental level of confidence in her golf game to that same level. She participated in three of the seven spring events for the Pokes and shot a low 80(+8) at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Chandler, Ariz.

2006-07 (Freshman): Jeffries used her redshirt season to improve the mechanics of her swing. She walked onto the Wyoming track and field team and was UW's best high jumper, with top-five UW all-time marks during both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

High School: A four-year letterwinner in golf, basketball and track at Grand Island High School, Jeffries has twice been named to the All-State team in golf, 2004 and 2005. Her high school golf team won the state title in 2004 and was runner-up in 2005. Individually, she was a state tournament qualifier and medalist in 2003, 2004 and 2005, placing as high as fourth as a junior. Johnna was selected to play in the North-South All-Star Tournament during the summer of 2004 and 2005. An honors student, Jeffries was ranked number one in her high school class and has earned numerous academic awards. Her high school golf coach was Kevin Bartlett. South Dakota State, Nebraska-Kearney and Nebraska-Omaha also recruited Jeffries.

Personal: Johnna is the daughter of Jim and Kelli Jeffries and she has two younger brothers, Jack and Jay. Her father played football and baseball at the University of Nebraska, while her mother played basketball at NU. Johnna's birthday is June 23, 1988. She has dual majors at UW, secondary education and spanish.
