2006: Adetoye enjoyed a solid sophomore season in which she scored two goals and dished out three assists. She tied for second on the team in points with seven while starting 18 games. In every game that Adetoye scored a point, the Cowgirls either won or tied that specific match. Against Nevada, Adetoye scored the game tying goal and earned the assist on the game winning goal in overtime. She led the team in shots on goal and earned her second letter award. 2005: Adetoye had a spectacular freshman season at UW. She scored two goals, dished out three assists and took 17 shots on the year. She started her career with a bang as she scored a goal and dished out an assist in UW's 3-0 win over Charleston Southern in her first career game. She also had a great game against Northern Colorado as she had an assist on both UW goals as the Cowgirls beat UNC 2-1. She played in 16 games, starting seven. High School: Adetoye graduated from high school early and enrolled at Wyoming in the spring of 2005. That spring she excelled in spring practice and gained valuable playing experience. She was a three time letterwinner in soccer at Littleton High School. She received academic honors three times and was a Littleton High School Honor Roll member throughout high school. Littleton placed second in their conference her sophomore season. Personal: She was born August 16, 1987 in Warri, Nigeria. She is the second youngest of six children to Alice and Albert Adetoye. Five of the six children have played college soccer. Her older sister, Mercy, is Wyoming's all-time leader scorer and was a three-time letterwinner. She is majoring in social science. |
