High School: Charlton will join the Cowgirls as a four-year letter winner from Wheaton-Warrenville South HS in Wheaton, Ill. She was a member of the 2008 and 2010 DuPage Valley Conference champions, as well as 2008 and 2010 Illinois Regional champions. She was named team captain for her high school squad during the 2011 season. She played her club soccer with the Chicago Fire Juniors, which was ranked as high as No. 4 in Illinois. Her club team was also Midwest Regional League First Division Blues champions. She not only excelled on the soccer pitch, but also in the classroom, where she was named Academic All-Conference in 2008, '09, '10 and has been on the honor roll every year of high school. She is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Charlton was born on Jan. 3, 1993 in Winfield, Ill. She is the daughter of Anthony and JoEllen and has a younger brother, Nicholas. She plans to major in pre-physical therapy at UW.
