Jason Green will be entering his fourth season as a Wyoming soccer assistant coach. Green has helped coach 18 Academic All-Conference and nine Conference scholar athletes in his three years as a Cowgirl assistant coach. This is Green's second tenure under Sanchez, the first coming at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Ariz. Green and Sanchez also worked together on a number of club teams and summer camps as well. Green has held two high school head coaching jobs, the first at Skyline High School in Mesa, AZ, where he was named Region Coach of the Year and the second at Chandler High School in Chandler, AZ where he was also named Region Coach of the Year and his team won three straight NSCAA National Academic Awards. In his 13 year coaching career in college, high school and club soccer, Green has coached five state championship teams, six region championship teams, four district championship teams and five conference championship teams. Green holds a United States Soccer Federation "B" License and a USSF National Goalkeeping License. He also has attended The Manchester United Coaches Symposium. Green started his college playing career at Mesa Community College under Sanchez where they were ranked as high as second in the nation. He continued his collegiate career at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz. At GCU, Green helped lead the team to as high as second in the nation and to the championship game in the CCAA tournament. He earned his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Ottawa University, in Phoenix, in 2003 and completed his Master's Degree in Physical Education from Arizona State University in 2008. |
