She played a key part in the UW defense that allowed 1.50 goals per game. She took a total of seven shots on the season with two of them on goal. She also earned her second letter award as a Cowgirl. 2009: Jones played in 15 games as a freshman and helped the Cowgirls to the best goals against average in school history at 0.99. Jones earned her first UW letter award in 2009. High School: Jones was a part of the 5A District Championship team in 2006 and 2008 in South Texas. She was named to the 2008 All-District team for her efforts. On her Challenge Club Team, Jones was a part of the 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007 National Cup South Texas State Championship team. Academically, Jones earned letters three years, and was a National Honor Society member in 2008 and 2009. Personal: She was born on Dec. 11, 1990 in Houston, Texas. She is the daughter of Shelley and Scott Jones and has two sisters, Evan and Meredith. She is majoring in zoology. |
