2006: Lindner gave the Cowgirls a major lift by scoring two goals and earning a starting role at forward as a true freshman. Her rise to a starting spot was even more special considering that Lindner entered Fall practice as a recruited walk on and earned a scholarship in the first week of practice. Lindner scored the only goal in the season opener against Tulsa and also scored the game tying goal at TCU to send the game into overtime. She was named to MWC Academic All-Conference Team and earned her first letter award. High School: Lindner helped lead Torrey Pines High School to the Palomar League Championship and the CIF San Diego Division I Championship her senior year. She scored six goals and had five assists including the game winning goal in the CIF San Diego Championship game. As a junior, she was named the Torrey Pines High School Offensive Player of the Year and to the San Diego Union Tribune Second Team after scoring nine goals and dishing out five assists. Torrey Pines High School won the Spartans Tournament, the Palomar League Champion and finished second in CIF San Diego Division I. She was named All-Academic her junior and senior years and was a two-year starter and letterwinner. She played club soccer for the Rancho Sante Fe Attack which placed fifth in the Coast League Premiere her senior year. That year, they went on to play in the U.S. Soccer Regional Tournament in Idaho, the U.S. Soccer National Tournament in New York and made it to the quarterfinals of the National State Cup. She scored ten goals and had eight assists. Personal: She was born Nov. 6, 1988 in La Jolla, Calif. She is the daughter of Gina Barbour and Scott Lindner and has an older brother, Philip.
