10  Nahiomy Ortiz

High School: Ortiz comes to UW with experience of playing across the globe. Ortiz, who was born in Bogota, Colombia, played for Colombia in the 2008 U17 Women's World Cup in New Zealand. She has also played in the Pacific Coast League for the Victoria Stars and was the team's leading goal scorer in 2009. Ortiz also led the Victoria Stars to the 2008 Pacific Coast League Championship. She was a member of the Canadian National Training Center from 2007-2008. Most recently, Ortiz earned the 2010 Soccer Excellence Award at Reynolds Secondary School and earned academic honor roll honors in 2007 and 2008.

Personal: She was born on Jan. 13, 1992 in Bogota, Colombia. She is the daughter of Sandra and Angello Ortiz and has a brother Christihan. She plans to major in international studies at UW.
