It is the start of a new week, and it feels great! In yesterday's game against Cal, Fullerton, we accomplished our goals. As a team, we had decided to have some fun, score a goal in the first half, and not go into overtime. Lately it seems as if we cannot just play a ninety minute game, we feel the need to play an additional possible twenty minutes. We did have fun though, and the game brought back some courage that let us know we CAN score in the first half. It was a great team effort and it was obvious to see that we dominated the game.

So now that we are well into the season, and conference is just around the corner, things are starting to get more intense. Everybody is training hard, staying focused, and working together as a team. But, coming onto this team as a freshman, I've noticed things haven't totally changed, except for the start of school. Going to school and attending class wasn't that hard, it was just the transition from summer that was difficult. But, I also looked forward to the start of school, because it signified the last day of preseason. Then I realized, missing class every week, and trying to make everything up while maintaining a high GPA is just as hard as preseason. As a student-athlete, I think the most valuable lesson I'm going to learn in college is time management! It's difficult to manage your time with all that is required of you. Between class, practice, lifting, study hall hours, and all the extra studying/homework after that, you barely have time to sleep, let alone, go out and have a good time. But, it's teaching me a lot, and I'm starting to adapt.

Even though Misty taught me a lot during preseason, she was a little late on the part where she was supposed to tell me to stay away from the post. I had a little war with the post during preseason, and I didn't win.

Coach Moore is starting to run again. Slowly, but surely!

Other than that, things haven't really changed.

Thanks so much to all of our fans! I hope you guys continue to follow the Cowgirls and keep attending our games! We appreciate your support!

GO COWGIRLS!!!

Love you Mom, Dad, Justin, Danielle, Derek, Kayla, and Jordan! I MISS YOU!
