You think you know, but you have no idea....This is the diary of Lindsey Vossbrink!
Dear diary,
This week is a crucial week for our team. It is what we have been waiting and striving for since pre-season and all the rest of our season. This week we start conference. Coming home from an unfortunate weekend, losing to Oregon and tying Portland State, we still have seemed to put everything behind us and come together as a team. We have had a great week of practice, which have prepared us for the start of the biggest games of our season. For the seniors, myself included, these will be the biggest and last games of our lives as college athletes. I couldn't ask for a better group of ladies to share this experience with, and I know for a fact that with the attitudes and the desire this team holds we WILL be successful. I am honored to be a part of this program and this team.
Throughout the years as a soccer player, I have come to know some great people in my life, and as Melissa Bowman would say, have had some unforgettable times that I will cherish throughout my life. Freshman year dance at half time at the b-ball game, crazy Halloween costumes, all my roommates (especially Skinner in the dorms in our messy dorm room and Bowman), study tables every year with Ceilia, dancing with Mari, going out with Kara, Kristen, Bowman, making fun of Mego, intramural basketball, bus trips, everyday with Kristen and oh yeah falling my freshman year when they called my name on our first home game!! These aren't even half of the memories I hold being on this team for four years, but every moment I will cherish and will hold in my heart forever! I can truly say that I love everyone on this team and will never forget you guys, even you Besty, because I know and you know, how much we argue, but I wouldn't ask for anyone else to tell me chill out, I love you too. It has been one great journey and I hope we finish with a bang...6-0 in conference and going the NCAA tournament, because we all know last year was a fluke, right guys?!
Peace out,
Lindsey Vossbrink #16 Senior Class 2004
