This Season: One of three seniors on the Cowgirl roster who continued to gain experience playing at the number one spot last season. She is a strong player in both singles and doubles play. Will be looked upon as a leader this year as she continues to provide a spark for the Cowgirls in her senior season. Won three of her first four matches to begin fall play and finished 3-6 overall playing against tough competition. Wrapped up the fall with a 4-6 doubles record, playing with fellow senior Andrea House. With 50 career wins, she currently ranks seventh all-time in school history.

Junior (2005-06): Had an exciting fall season winning her first three matches on the way to a 5-4 record in singles play. Rowinski played strong in doubles action as well with a 5-5 record, including a 4-2 mark with her partner Patricia Chien. Qualified for the Central Regional Tournament where she played both in singles and doubles action. She beat Allison Sine (6-3, 2-6, (11-9) of Utah in the first round of the tournament. In doubles play, Rowinski and Chien came up with their biggest win of the season beating the ninth seeded team of Kim Hartmann and Milena Schulz-Gartner of Nebraska at the Central Regional Tournament to move onto the Round of 16 in the Main Draw. She continued to play strong in the spring, winning eight of her first ten matches at the number two position. She played the rest of the spring in the number one position for the Cowgirls finishing with a overall singles record of 15-18. In doubles action, she completed the season with a 12-21 overall mark with three different partners. An excellent student in the classroom, she earned Academic All-MWC honors for the third year in a row.

Sophomore (2004-05): In the fall she went 3-4 in singles play, but played her way into the Central Regional Tournament qualifying round. Rowinski and partner Patricia Chien upset the number one ranked team from Colorado State at the Central Regional Tournament to make it to the second round of the Main Draw. Went 9-12 in the spring to finish with an overall singles mark of 12-16, while ending the conference season with a 3-4 record. Mainly at the number two spot in doubles, she and Patricia Chien opened up the spring going 9-3 before finishing with an overall mark of 15-14 for the year. Earned MWC Scholar-Athlete honors for the second year in a row.

Freshman (2003-04): She opened up her freshman campaign with a solid 6-4 overall singles record and a 5-5 mark in doubles play. She and doubles partner Patricia Chien qualified for the Central Regional Championships in the Main Draw during the fall. Recorded her first Division I win on Sept. 19, 2003 against Leigh Orne of Gonzaga. Rowinski finished her first year by posting a 20-10 overall singles mark. In doubles play, she completed the season with a 14-17 mark. A first time Academic All-MWC and MWC Scholar-Athlete selection.

High School: A London Conference Champion and the Most Valuable Player at South Secondary High School. She ranked 11th in the Ontario Province and undefeated in high school play. She was also the 2003 WOSSA Champion and won the 2003 OFSSA Gold medal. In 2001, she participated in several national tournaments, including the DLAC Indoor Championships, the Mid-American Junior Indoor Championships and the RHTSC Fall Open, coming away with titles in all three. Rowinski was coached by her father, but also worked with John Hatch and Sergio Renauldo. Besides tennis, Karolina participated in cross country and placed fourth at the conference championships twice. An excellent student, she was on the honor roll throughout high school, and earned several scholastic and service awards. She chose Wyoming over several schools including Central Florida, Iowa State and Southwest Missouri State.

Personal: Karolina is the daughter of Boguslaw and Janina Rowinski. Born March 28, 1985 in Wroclaw, Poland. Has a younger sister, Jessica. Majoring in kinesiology and health promotion.
