Parizher only Cowgirl To Come Away With Win

SOPHOMORE (2010-11): An All-MWC selection in doubles play for the second year in a row. She and partner Kim van Ginkel earned a pre-season rank of 32 in the Campbell's/ITA doubles rankings. Was impressive during the fall as she finished with a 10-4 record in singles play. She went a perfect 3-0 during the Lobo Invitational. Qualified for the Mountain Regional Tournament, going 2-1 overall and making it to the round of 32. In doubles action, she went 7-4 overall. She and partner Kim van Ginkel recorded a 6-3 mark, which included winning their last three matches. They also participated in the ITA All-American Championships and made it into the round of 16. During the spring, she went 11-11 in dual play to record a 21-15 overall singles mark. In MWC play, she went 3-5 overall. In doubles action, she finished with a 22-11 mark and 15-7 in dual play. She and partner Kim van Ginkel went 21-10 overall and 5-3 in league play, which helped them earn All-MWC honors. They started off the spring by winning 9 of their first 12 matches, including a five match winning streak. Will continue to move her way up into the Cowgirl record book as she currently ranks 17th in doubles wins (35) and 19th in singles victories (36).

FRESHMAN (2009-10): Had a solid spring as she went 15-6 overall playing mainly at the number three spot. Her first career victory came against Yana Kakovkina of Arkansas Little Rock (2/6/10). After starting off 1-2, she ran off nine straight matches. In league play, she went 4-4 overall. Synkova finished 13-9 overall in doubles play. She and playing partner Kim Van Ginkel went 11-7 overall and 4-4 in the league, which helped them earn All-MWC honors. They also finished the year ranked 59th in the Campbell/ITA doubles rankings and fourth amongst teams in the Mountain Region.

HIGH SCHOOL: In 2007, she earned the runner-up spot in junior singles play and women's doubles at the Bratislava Region Championships. She also finished third in women's singles play in that same tournament. The previous year, Synkova finished first in the Class B juniors tournament in doubles and Class B women's tournament in singles, while earning third place honors at the Europe Junior Tournament in Under 16 doubles.

PERSONAL: Born April 26, 1990 in Bratislava. She is the daughter of Oldrich Synek and Maria Synkova. Has one sibling, Nikola. Majoring in international studies.
