UW-This Season: One of six seniors returning to the Cowgirl squad this season...was the starting setter as a true freshman in 2000, she adds depth to that position...a team player, who continues to be a positive leader for her teammates. Junior (2002): Played in six matches and eight games during the season...finished with seven kills and ten digs...averaged 8.75 assists per game, which was second on the team...recorded a season high four kills and 22 assists against Texas Southern (9/21/02)...tallied double-figures in assists four times during the season...has 961 assists for her career, which is tenth in school history. Sophomore (2001): Did not participate in any contests during the 2001 volleyball season. Freshman (2000): Played in 30 matches and 105 games as a true freshman, including 28 starts...led the team with 891 assists (8.49 aspg) on the season, which was seventh overall in the Mountain West Conference...finished with 166 digs, averaging 1.58 digs per game...also added 28 service aces...hit double-figures in assists 28 times during the season, including the last 19 matches in a row...had a career high 61 assists against Wisconsin-Green Bay (9/16/00), along with 11 digs against Weber State (10/16/00). High School: A three-time letterwinner in volleyball at South Hills High School in West Covina, Calif...as a senior, she helped lead her team to the state finals for the first time in school history, plus three undefeated Valle Vista Conference Championships...earned First Team All-Region and All-State honors in that same season...as team captain, she was named the team and conference Most Valuable Player...was coached in high school by Charm Doyle...was also a two-year letterwinner in basketball...an excellent student, a National Honor Society member and was active in student council...was recruited by other schools including Rutgers, Cal-Poly and the University of Alaska.
