UW This Season: One of three seniors on the squad...she was the Cowgirls' starting libero from a year ago.

Junior (2007): Played in 26 matches during the year with two starts...recorded 400 digs to average 4.12 per game, which led the team...also had 66 assists (.68 aspg) and 33 service aces (.34 sapg), which was second on the team...overall, she ranked seventh in digs (400, 4.12 dpg) and third in service aces (33, .34 sapg) in the MWC...in league matches, she was fourth in digs (4.35 dpg) and fifth in service aces (.35 sapg)...had a career high nine assists against TCU (9/20/07)...against Kansas (9/7/07), she finished with a season high 28 digs...followed that up with 27 digs against St. Peter's (9/7/07)...recorded 19 digs against Toledo (8/31/07)...finished with 18 digs against Utah Valley State (8/24/07)...moved in to 11th place all-time in school history in digs and currently sits with 864...her 400 digs is also second all-time on the single-season list in school history...reached double-figures in digs 21 times during the season, which included a stretch of ten in a row...for the third year in a row, she earned Academic All-MWC honors.

Sophomore (2006): Played in 26 of 28 matches with six starts and 83 games during the season...averaged 2.02 digs per game, which was fourth on the team...recorded 14 assists and nine service aces...in conference matches, she finished with 124 total digs (2.38 dpg) which was also fourth on the team...had a season high 16 digs against Utah (11/9/06)...finished with 13 digs against Northern Colorado (10/18/06) and Air Force (10/28/06)...had 14 digs against Utah (10/14/06)...recorded ten digs against TCU (9/16/06)...finished with 14 digs against North Texas (8/25/06)...recorded double-figures in eight matches, which included a stretch of three in a row...an Academic All-MWC and Scholar Athlete selection for the second year in a row.

Freshman (2005): Played in all 28 matches at the libero position in her first season for the Cowgirls...started in seven matches during the year with the first of her career coming against TCU (10/11/05)...played in the first match of her career against Montana State (8/26/05)...averaged 3.02 digs, which was second on the team, along with recording 12 assists...finished the year ranked eighth in the MWC in digs...in conference matches, she averaged 2.33 digs per game...was tied for third on the team with 29 service aces...recorded a career high 34 digs against Northern Colorado (9/3/05), which was just three shy of the school single-match record of 37...set a Mountain West Conference record at the time with her 34 digs, which eclipsed the previous mark of 33 set in 2004...finished with 17 digs against Montana State (8/26/05)...reached double-digits in digs in 14 of 28 matches during the season...was an Academic All-MWC and Scholar Athlete selection.

High School: A two-time First Team All-District selection during her high school career...also earned Second Team All-District honors as a freshman and sophomore...a three-time MVP of her Churchill High School team, she helped them to a Midwestern League Championship in 2001 and a ninth place finish in the state that year...coached in high school by Kelly Dahlgren...played club for the Webfoot Volleyball Club, which was coached by Cathy Nelson...a four-year letterwinnner in volleyball, she also earned letters in tennis...her team won the Midwestern League Championship in 2004 while she finished as a semi-finalist in the District Championships...in 2005, she won the Midwestern League Doubles District Championship and finished fifth in the state...an excellent student, she was a member of the National Honor Society, while earning many other academic honors.

Personal: Full name is Carissa Joy Lee...born April 22, 1987 in Eugene, Ore...the daughter of Maria and Michael Lee...has an older sister, Candace, who played volleyball at the University of Washington...majoring in speech language and hearing science.
