Mark McCloskey enters his second season as an assistant with the Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball program. He handles the main recruiting duties, and works with the setters and middle blockers. McCloskey came to Wyoming from the University of Northern Colorado, where he was an assistant coach for one season. He joined the UNC staff in 1999, after serving as the interim head coach at Embry-Riddle University in Prescott, Ariz. Prior to being named interim head coach, he had served as an assistant coach with the school since 1997. McCloskey also served as the director of the Yavapai Juniors Volleyball Club. The juniors program involved 140 girls ranging in age from 10-18. As an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina, he served as a student assistant/manager for the volleyball program. McCloskey earned his bachelor's degree in history and secondary education from South Carolina in 1997. "Mark really made an positive impact on our program in his first year at Wyoming," said coach Steadman. "His efforts provided nice results in our middle and setter training. I know his continued involvement in our program will upgrade those areas as well as recruiting." |
