UW This Season: One of several returning letterwinners returning to the Cowgirl squad...a hard nose and intense competitor, she brings great leadership and motivation to the team...has made tremendous improvements in her game after a year with the program. Junior (2002): Started in 31 matches at the libero position, while seeing action in 110 games in her first season with the Cowgirls...played in her first collegiate match as a Cowgirl against Central Michigan (8/30/02)...averaged 2.17 digs per game, which was second on the team and ranked 17th in the MWC...finished with 24 assists on the year...had a career high 16 digs against Weber State (10/21/02)...recorded double-figures in digs nine times on the season...a first time Academic All-MWC and Scholar Athlete selection in 2002. Junior College: An AVCA and NJCAA All-American in 2001 at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, Wyo...was also selected All-Conference and All-Region IX as a freshman and sophomore, along with earning All-Tournament honors during that time...an excellent student, she was an Academic All-American selection and on the Dean's List...was coached by Verl Petsch. High School: A three-time All-State and All-Conference selection at Potter-Dix High School in Potter, Neb...also earned All-Region and All-Area honors twice during her career...helped her team to a second place finish at the state tournament with a 24-1 record in 1999...a four-time letterwinner in volleyball, she also lettered in basketball and track...coached in high school by Mary Nielsen.
